The Childbirth Educator supports pregnant women and families by providing prenatal health education, birth preparation, and important information to assist families in making decisions regarding their birth and new baby. The extended Facilitator portion actually gives time to learn more teaching concepts and to practice skills in a community setting. This seminar includes training for "Pregnant Life Circles", which incorporates the Childbirth Education topics with basic prenatal care by a licensed health care provider, in a group setting. This helps to create more community support and empowers women to follow through with healthier reproductive outcomes. These skills can be adapted for most locations, either in a classroom setting or one-on-one counseling.
